Urban babies wear black!
While I’m always on the lookout for fun mom & baby gifts, this one really caught my eye… While there are no shortage of cute board books on the market, “Urban babies wear black” takes things to a whole new level. For starters, its fun illustrations make it as easy on baby’s eyes as it is on mom’s sleepless, heavy lidded ones. Plus, being a board book, it’s drool proof too! Always a plus in the land of spit up and surprise secretions.
So what’s the premise of this one? Well, my take on it is that it shows some of the ridiculous, but all too true situations that we subject our mini me’s to. For example: Urban babies visit art galleries, Urban babies do yoga, Urban babies drink lattés, while you get the picture, etc, etc… Basically, urban babies do whatever urban moms do. All in all, it’s a fun laugh at ourselves and a reminder that, hey…they’re babies, not the latest accessory du jour, or status symbol.
