I did it! Finally, I say it every year, I’m going to make loads of cookies and, well, I never do get around to it. But I did it, yesterday and this morning, batches and batches of cookies made. Decadent chocolate crinkle cookies…peanut butter blossums, the ones with the hershey kisses sitting in the middle of them. I attempted sugar cookie cutouts and was not too successful, I mean they taste fine, but they look a little tragic. I’m still learning ok. Oh and I made fudge which is yummy.

That’s way we were downright thrilled to find this latest line of toys by Baby Jamz.

I came across this today, a friend sent me the link. I don’t know Heather or Kate, but Kate is having brain surgery today and she’s a mom of 3 boys and she needs prayers. I have lost family members to cancer so this hits home. I don’t know Kate, but she’s a mom and her boys need her so she’s got a good chance because she is going to fight for them. Let’s all help her fight and show our support for another mom by praying for her today.

bottle.jpgLilyBugs are absolutely adorable! We’ve all struggled with leaky baby bottles or sippy cups. When I first saw these I loved them and wished I’d known about them when I was trying to get my own liltle bug to hold his own bottle, he never would do it! LilyBugs is another great invention by a mom to solve a problem.

For little ones, sensory play is especially important. Touching, smelling, tasting, kids learn so much from these actions.
There is a great series of articles all about sensory play over at Play-Activities.com and a fun contest as well, where you can win your child your choice of a sensory toy. I know my 4 year old would LOVE the Sensory Garden Dome, he loves helping me in the garden and this would be a fun indoor winter activity.
