Ahh, I’m ending the year off well and starting the new year off with vim and vigor. Whatever that means. One of my projects for 2008 was  a bedroom redo. Six years , many many eons ago, when I was young and stupid I made the silly choice of painting our master bedroom red. Bright Blood Red. Why? Well, I was going for drama, boudoir…I don’t friggin know. It didn’t work, it never worked and I have not been able to STAND it for a few years now. So I informed Hubby that in 2008, although with some other household projects, the bedroom needed to be re-painted and I showed him my new color choice…Silver Strand, a blue with silver/grey hints, really calming. He said, Ya, I like it, I HATE the red, always have…but you wanted it…go get the paint and we’ll do it now…we’ve got nothing going on this weekend. Umm, well, I wasn’t planning on doing it NOW! But hey, why not, let’s go. So, now, on Monday…it’s done already and it’s not even 2008 yet. Oops. LOL Well, it’s not totally done, but it’s all painted, looks fantabulous (I’d show you a picture, but it’s not completely staged yet ok), and it’s rearranged and looks so much better now, why I didn’t think to put the bed on the other side of the room ages ago I do not know. Seriously, HGTV is having a crazy effect on me, I am watching it entirely too much lately. It almost, apart from the old bygone days singlehood mis-matched furniture we still have, looks like a grown up room. I do plan on staining the pieces all a dark chocolate brown sometime soon and then it will at least look put together right. Yes, I know I’ve never stained anything in my life and this is a massive undertaking considering the size and scale of the 3 pieces involved, but like I said, I am foolishly stupid and will try it anyways. 

I am game…2008 bring it on!
