Today is my mom’s birthday and I want to wish her a very happy day! Everyone who knows my mom thinks she’s pretty awesome, and she is. She’s a cool mom, she’s a fun mom, and she’s a wahm too. I never really thought about that, but I guess she kinda inspired me to try and do something from home since she built her own home based business before the terms wahm (work at home mom) or mompreneur ever existed, over 30 years ago. And yes, she reads my blog, she’s that cool. My mom is a hairdresser hairstylist, whatever you want to call it, and has her own home salon and I have never had to pay to have my hair cut, colored, permed (back in the day) in my life, she even dyed my hair black once when I was in collage, ok THAT is (was) cool. Ok, she did advise against it because of how pale I am and I would look like a vampire, and I did, but she still did it.

I seem to be following in my mother’s footsteps, she left her country, Italy, to get married and start a family in Canada, I left my family to get married and start my family in the U.S. She’s a wahm, I am now a wahm…I suppose in 30 years I’ll be the President of some local club/group as she is now. Ok, maybe not. I suppose in 30 years I’ll be the cool hip hot mom too, but I am going to have to work on this one, I’ve got some serious heels to fill.
