by Buffy Krajewski

An Angel’s Kiss is the true story of Buffy Krajewski and her struggles as a mom to a child born with a very rare form of cancer. But it’s not simply a story of a sick child, but more so, the story of a mother’s guilt. It is the story of guilt over her feelings about her sick child and how this affected her entire family life.

An Angel’s Kiss is an honest account of how even with a mother’s undeniable love for a child, negative thoughts can creep in when dealing with the overwhelming responsibility of caring and nurturing a sick child. Buffy is forthcoming with sharing the thoughts she had throughout her difficult pregnancy, learning her child was sick and most likely would die, and being constantly told not to bother nurturing him as he would never, walk, talk, understand, etc…

Any mother can relate to this tale, even those with healthy children. All moms have had moments of regret and guilt over thoughts they’ve had. All moms can relate to Buffy and her struggles.

As serious as the subject matter is, the book is an easy light read and the fact that her child not only defies all the odds against him, but also thrives with her love and support, is a wonderful story of survival. Survival of a sick child and of a young mom put to the ultimate test.
