Baby beaver
When I purchased my son’s crib, I never thought that I would find myself reconsidering the choice of going with a traditional wood one. It seemed a perfect option and looked lovely in his nursery. So when did my opinion change? Well…it started somewhere with the eruption of his first two teeth. Not content to enjoy the 1001 teethers that I’ve purchased over the months, he instead finds his way to the bars of his crib or heists himself up to the cribrail and begins to gnaw. You would not believe the damage that these two little razors, uhhh…I mean teeth can do; Not to mention my own concerns for his safety over splinters or choking on wood bits. It hasn’t happened yet, but I’m certain that it’s just a matter of time. Has anyone else experienced this teething toy replacement? And if so, what the heck do you do about it?!

My crib, not even real wood, has been gnawed at as well, fake laminate wood apparently tastes just as as the real thing! Baby does it, he got teeth earlier and bag worse teething than Big Boy ever did, he never touched the crib.
My son did the same thing as well! I was afraid he would ge some kind of poisoning from the paint (lead scare anyone?) Anyway…. bought some railguards made out of plastic and he tried chomping on those as well until he devised a way to take them off and chuck them as far away from the bed as possible! Oh well…. what can you do?
