Wow, I needed a Mom ME day and today is the day. Yesterday I packed up the kids and drove up to my mother-in-laws summer place at the lake. Spent a few hours there getting them settled in and her all set up and then left, alone! I drove another hour to Elle’s place and we ordered in and hung out relaxing after she put her kids to bed. So nice. We never get to do that anymore living so far apart. I continued on another half hour (ok a lot of driving yesterday!) and came “home” to my parents house and after 15 minutes searching for the hidden key in the dark I got into the house just a few minutes before they came home from a late night out.

This morning and afternoon I am all alone in the house, hanging out. Scrounging for votes for that contest I am in, there is still time to vote! It’s so quiet and peaceful. I can’t even remember the last time I was actually alone in a house, any house.  I came up for a threatre production tonight that my mom’s brother is putting on. He’s the producer I think, he actually lives in Italy, all my mother’s family does. She’s been working for years in her Italian club here in Montreal to bring the group over to put on a play and finally succeeded. So they (my parents) are off all day today with the group so here I am alone. I’ll meet up with everyone in the family this evening for the play.

Big Boy had been particularily taxing this past week, not sure what is up his bumm, but it’s just really nice to have a quiet day to myself even if I don’t do anything. I though I might wander the mall, shop alone for a change and be able to browse, but I don’t even feel like going anywhere right now. And it’s raining. This is just really relaxing.
