What the??? I am so confused. What is going on with all this title nonsense? Why do we have to label ourselves. This is all I hear on the news/media these days, constant stories about moms and what kind of moms they are, which is better, etc etc etc…Seriously Moms??? Come on.

So this is the new Mommy War, because obviously the stay-at-home vs working mom thing is old news now. Who cares, you do what is right for you and your family and that is all. And with working from home and mom entrepreneurs, hey, moms can have it all. So obviously there was a need for another Mommy War so now lets pit the Alpha Moms, who strive for perfection in all things related to child rearing and pit them against the Beta Moms, who are more laid back AKA the Slacker Moms. is it really necessary to have titles to describe our parenting style. Should we all start wearing tags on our shirts so we know where to stand at the park, woe is you if you start a conversation with an Alpha Mom when you are obviously, a Slacker Mom. Don’t know what you are, take a look at your kids, what are they wearing, do their socks match? Is there a stain on their shirt from earlier in the day you didn’t bother to change before going out? Guess which mom that makes you.

I am a Slacker Mom I suppose, I kinda fly by the seat of my pants, I don’t worry about the socks or the stains, hey, trying to limit the laundry loads ok. As long as the kids are happy, things are good, and I am happy and can do my work and play and maybe, once inawhile, clean the house.

Enough talk about Alpha Beta Gamma Phi Delta…blah blah blah, it’s like we’re back in college and everyone has to fit into a perfect little category, ie sorority. If you don’t join, you are so not cool. We’re all just moms trying to do our best and we all have different ways of going about it. Why can’t we all just get along! Oh wait, mostly we do, it’s the media that keeps trying start new wars, or what on the world would they talk about??? The actual news?
