Manic Mommies!
We’re all a little manic, it’s part of being a mom, being pulled in different directions all day, everyday. I recently found a great podcast called Manic Mommies and mentioned it in a previous post. I have since spend lots of walking, playing outside hours listening to the show archives, I’m not done yet, but have listened to quite a few and have decided that it is, by far, my favorite podcast. I am now so looking forward to the new shows every week. These women are hilarious and I can so totally relate to almost everything they say. How they find the time to put together the show while also working and raising kids is beyond me, but I am glad they are doing it and hope they don’t stop anytime soon.
I must look like a freak, I walk with the boys, pushing Baby in the little red car and watching Big Boy get further and further away from me on his Diego bike listening on my mp3 player. And I just crack up or want to chime in with my 2 cents. Erin & Kristin talk about everything and anything mom and woman related. Some of my favs were comments on all those sleep solutions for babies and finally they said what I’ve been saying all along, it’s not possible to follow all those suggestions with the second child, because letting them cry will wake up the older one. Hello! Hence why Baby still does not sleep through the night, although he did last night. High Five! But I cannot risk destroying my good sleeper Big Boy. And some vacation comments on I believe the after New Years episode, where they discussed how vactations with the kids are not really vacations for mom, they are more work, or so some of us feel, but then there are those, who can easily integrate their kids in everything they do effortlessly and would not even consider going on vacation without their kids. Elle is one of those. I am one who thinks, it’s just more work travelling with kids without the comforts of home.
Anyways, all to say, it’s a great little diversion and nice to hear that we’re all a little manic when we’re moms and it’s ok! It’s kind of like talking with girlfriends, except for the part where I don’t get to talk and I don’t actually know them, although I feel like I do now. lol
