What is this world coming too??? Last night on the news there was a story about a local hospital going into lockdown for 2 hours yesterday. It seems a letter arrived and when it was opened, low and behold, a bizarre white powder substance came out. They locked down the hospital, nobody could go in or our for 2 hours. They assured the reporters patients were not affected and business as usual went on in the hospital while they tried to determine what this mysterious white powder was. I don’t …

We have had two amazing days here in the northeast and after spending them outside, after being cooped up all winter, I am spent. Last night I about passed out as soon as Big Boy went to bed at 8pm. How on earth to those kids to it. he’s up before 7am and we put him to bed at 8pm and he is still raring to go. He never stops talking or moving all day long. Something strange is going on at my house these days…  While last week my toddler was into dressing up like a puppy, this week finds her in her birthday suit.  Not sure what it is, but every chance she gets, particularly after going potty, she strips down and then runs around the house dancing and giggling. She even goes so far as to tell us, “look, dis a my bum” and points to her little butt.  She grabs her clothes and stacks them into a pile and stomps on them, …

Ok, I have had it. It’s only been a few hours since Big Boy learned this new game at pre-school and apparently it’s all the rage again.
“I spy…a chair, what do you spy Mom?”
“I spy your swing.”
“I spy a tree, what do you spy Mom?”
I spy a bird.”
“I spy a truck, what do you spy now Mom?”

No, this is not the title of a new children’s book, but rather, the reality which is my life!  That’s right, lately my two year old daughter has taken on the persona of “Puppy.” A small spotted Dalmatian, to be more precise. 
You see, she had received a furry puppy face mask last Halloween but showed little interest in it at the time.  However one day last week, she found it as she rummaged through her toybox.  “Wow, look at dis!” she shouted with delight and then slipped the mask on over her head.  She …
