Playdates, cookies, & office gossip, OH MY!
Yesterday was a nice day, not so much weather-wise, but a friend of mine came over for a [tag]playdate[/tag]. Ok, so I guess technically, the kids don’t really play together, their ages are not so condusive to “together play” as Big Boy was marking his territory and not wanting to share certain (every) things. Visitor Boy being way TOO accomodating and letting Big Boy get away with it all, but he’s only 2. And Baby, well being a baby, really was not a part of the equation at all, he even went down for a nap.
But for mommy it was nice, we chatted, I got caught up on all the office gossip, we used to work together and I do miss the office gossip. We went for a walk and managed to avoid the rain and even were able to have a conversation although Big Boy did his very best to interrupt whenever possible.
We had lunch, which her husband had made (don’t get too excited, he has lots of faults, cooking just isn’t one of them). I baked some cookies, which I am now eating all day long and this is not helping the waistline at all. Don’t be too impressed, my baking skills are as follows:
1. Remove Nestle Cookie Dough from fridge and package.
2. Preheat oven while removing pre-cut cookie shapes from packaing and transferring to cookie sheet.
3. Place in oven and wait for the beep.
4. Remove and let cool.
5. Place artfully on a plate and pretend I baked from from scratch.
Ya, my friend is wise to me. lol
Sometimes, you just need to re-connect with the adult world, and Hubby does not count and neither does virtual world.

Pre done cookies? How dare you! lol. Kidding of course. I usually end up eating the pre-made cookie dough so it is not good to keep in the house. But, good for you for having friends over! They can save you, can’t they?
