Mom’s on the Red Carpet…
Ok, so I am a mom right, so obviously I did not manage to stay awake for the whole show that is the [tag]Oscars[/tag]. I don’t even see movies anymore, that would involve going out without the kids and that’s a rare occurance. Watching isn’t that exciting when you haven’t seen any of the movies and don’t care who wins. But, I like to watch for the fashion so, I stay awake as long as I can, usually not past 10pm which is about as far as I made it last night. Then, watch the red carpet recap on E the next day, which I am watching right now.
My favorite mom of the night was [tag]Kate Winslet[/tag], she looked absolutely stunning. She seems to get more beautiful as the years go by. [tag]Rachel Weisz[/tag], not so much, the dress was ok, although kinda looked like it was falling off, but the hair was just a big messy mop on top of her head. Bed head isn’t still in style is it? I liked [tag]Reece Witherspoon’s[/tag] dress, very elegant. [tag]Kelly Preston[/tag], yuk, did not like the animal print at all and it looked kinda funny, she almost looked like she was in the awkward first trimester of pregnancy. [tag]Jada Pinkett Smith[/tag] looked good, not my favorite dress or color even, but she looked good in it, she usually does look good though.
Ok she’s not a mom, but I am sorry, I cannot fail to comment on Jennifer Hudon’s little space girl 80’s esque jacket looked ridiculous. Who’s crazy idea was that hideous monstrosity?
That’s Bee’s take on the red carpet for 2007. Kate Winslet Excellent, everyone else, not so much.

Although I literally only got to see Rachel Wiesz; She is actually one of my fave actresses. I appreciate her for her classic, natural beauty. However on this occasion, “the” occasion, I could not agree more with Bee.
Who deemed that dress to be an appropriate choice? Honestly, it made her look like a jug of milk and seemed to make everything look kinda mushy. As for her hair, yes, I agree this look could work if you were oh I don’t know…on a hayride, lounging poolside, stuck in a wind tunnel or perhaps cleaning your house, but the Academy Awards?
Who knows, maybe as a new mom, she too is suffering from lack of time for herself. Reality-check Rachel, you have the resources to bring back “me” time into your life. For goodness sake, take advantage of it, even if only to use it for when you’re in view of millions of households.
Awaiting the return of Rachel…
